Annotation: 

The article presents analysis results referring to the trends in estimation of the residual resource of portal cranes presented in STO 032.03.1-2008 of the Association of Ports and Shipowners of the River Transport (AP-SRT) based on calculation of the parameters of characteristic technological cycles of cranes` cargo operations using the method of spatial finite elements. The results of the calculation of the residual life of the portal crane «ABUS» with a lifting capacity of 16 tons for three limiting states are submitted.
