Annotation: 

Some basic scientific principles for maintaining ground transport-technological machines in operational condition are considered in the article. Factors (such as external environment, physical and mechanical properties of materials, work mode and external care, maintenance and repair, software updating) influencing the life cycle of ground transport and technological machines, as well as the consequences of such impact are highlighted. The authors describe the life cycle of the pneumatic transport installation and the factors affecting it. Currently used and improved structural, operational and technological measures aimed at improving the quality, operability, durability, and reliability of vehicles are summarized.
