Annotation: 

A numerical solution of the contact problem upon the availability of a nonlinearly deformable layer between interacting bodies is viewed in the paper. The problem is solved on basis of the step-by-step analysis method using the frame-rod contact elements. The algorithm is illustrated by a numerical example.
