The main quality control mechanisms in the construction industry in Vietnam are the normative support instruments consisting of laws, standards, etc., and the organizational structure which is the building quality management system. Structural and functional analysis of the experience of using quality control mechanisms in Vietnam has made it possible to identify significant problems in the construction industry, which are the standards and criteria of construction work that do not allow assessing the quality of work, for example, by using a cumulative system of criteria for each type of work.
