Annotation:
The technical theory of shearing stresses in a bent rod, available till recently, in a number of cases calculated these stresses with an accuracy which was insufficient for technical applications. The present work offers a theory that is simultaneously quite simple for engineering applications and possesses the necessary accuracy.
