A new method of calculation of the stress-strain state of the steel-concrete composite beam is proposed taking into account the deflection surface geometry of the concrete slab, which allows selecting such parameters of the beam which would optimize the maximum use of concrete compression. The formula for finding the neutral surface of the SCC-beams (surfaces inside the steel-concrete composite beam where bending stresses are equal to zero). The results obtained were used to develop an algorithm for calculating the rigidity entering the Sophie Germain equation. Results of comparative calculations in accordance with various methods are presented.
