Internal loading of water bodies with biogenic nitrogen forms

Annotation: 

The article presents the methodology of calculating the water bodies` loading with biogenic forms of nitrogen which get into the water column from bottom sediments due to the processes of organic matter ammonification. Two ways of calculation are presented, namely, on the base of A. E. Fick equation and on the base of the empirical model developed by the authors. The calculation models have been verified on the base of water monitoring data of the Neva Bay of the Gulf of Finland in the Baltic Sea.
