Introduction of digitalization tools and, in particular, artificial intelligence plays an important role in the development of construction in Russia. Despite the numerous publications on this issue, there are practically no studies on the systematic implementation of digitalization in construction activities and possible limits of this process. Due to the fact that this phenomenon has been little studied, the problem in this formulation is considered for the first time. The purpose of this study is to analyze the possibilities of the emergence of a limit to the use of artificial intelligence in construction. The concept of «singularity» is investigated, the introduction of artificial intelligence into the practice of domestic construction is studied and conclusions are made that the emergence of «super intelligence» in the construction sphere seems to be a matter of the distant future. The results obtained contribute to the development of the theory of self-organization and open a new theoretical direction in the study of the problems of the development limiting of AI in construction.
