The article presents the results of calculations for the design of proposed by the author complex intersections which are made of expanded clay concrete shell and a reinforced concrete core. To assess the load-bearing capacity of the section, there was performed a numerical modeling of the stress-strain state of three variants of the design, solution calculation of a complex section, comparison of calculation and simulation results. There has been established influence of the reinforcement type and concrete core on the magnitude of destructive and crack-forming loads, the distribution of stresses in the cross section and along the length of the element, and the development of deflections.
