The pyramid in contemporary architectural morphogenesis

Annotation: 

In the article, the phenomenon of using elementary geometric forms (in particular, pyramidal forms) in the architecture of the XX-XXI centuries is considered on the example of pyramids. The application of elementary geometric volumes in construction is analyzed starting from primitive structures of Stone Age to the contemporary architecture. On the basis of the analysis results, the changing of the society`s attitude to the elementary form in architecture is observed. The significance of elementary forms in culture and their role in architecture of the XX-XXI centuries is highlighted.
