Review article

The article examines the impact of changes in the design of vehicles on road safety. The possible ways of monitoring the technical condition of vehicles with changes introduced are considered. The parameters controlled during the technical inspection and in the vehicle safety design are listed. A method for estimating the influence of a set of parameters on road safety is proposed. A list of the parameters which have to be taken into account during the vehicle safety design inspection is made. The normative documents containing the permissible values of these parameters are indicated.
