Annotation:
In the 1930-1932-s., the architect S. V. Kapachinsky was in charge of the «Ural Specialist» project which was intended to continue the residential area development of Sverdlovsk and provide a further support of the town-planning composition idea of the «Town of Chekists», a legendary ensemble in the city. In the article, the project created by the architect S. V. Kapachinsky is considered and analyzed. The authors offer some new information about the Soviet period architecture in Sverdlovsk.
