Review article

It is postulated that at present, there have been created necessary preconditions for a successful development and operation of the business state support system. The author highlights the importance of implementing the principles of openness and transparency in government business support policy. Some directions of improvement of the legal framework, measures of financial and investment support to small and medium-sized business, support programs for small business in the federal districts and regions are proposed.
