The article studies the influence of rolling stock capacity on the capacity efficiency ratio. The latter determines the efficiency of the rolling stock and its required amount. The option passengers/capacity P/q is set, which accurately describes the dependence of rolling stock efficiency to the capacity efficiency ratio. Although the effect of the passenger capacity is not as considerable as compared to the influence of uneven passenger flows, nonetheless, it determines the upper limit of the first coefficient, which can not be exceeded even under other optimal factors. The research has a theoretical value, and can be useful to determine the need mode and capacity of the rolling stock.
