Annotation:

The paper presents an analysis of advantages and disadvantages of the trench «wall in the ground» (diaphragm wall) used in construction industry. Numerical modeling of the trench «wall in the ground» performance is considered as an enclosure of excavation pits and a load-bearing construction of buildings in the engineering and geological conditions of St. Petersburg. A comparison analysis of the results obtained in LIRA PC and Plaxis PC is presented.
