The increase in traffic flows leads to the need for the construction of underground passages. The high air humidity in the underpasses has an adverse effect both on the building envelope and on pedestrians. Ventilating the underground passages will improve the heat and humidity conditions there. The paper presents the results of numerical modeling of the air regime of an underground pedestrian crossing. The nature of the air movement is revealed. There have been obtained fields of air velocity distribution for various wind directions. The necessity of organized ventilation of underground passages is substantiated.
