The statistics of road traffic accidents (RTA) by the factor «it is snowing» is studied by the methods of probability theory and mathematical statistics. it has been found out that there is a correlation between the probability of road accidents and air temperature on the factor «it is snowing», which is described by a polynomial of the third degree. This result agrees well with the conclusions made by other authors. The obtained forecasting models make it possible to take organizational, technical and informational measures in time to ensure road safety.
