The article encapsulates the conception of forming the infrastructure of the motor car gas compressor stations (MCGCS) intended to be used for the transit motor transport flows in St. Petersburg. Taking into account a steady tendency of motor transport starting to use gas fuel, there has been made an analysis and description of the transit traffic flows passing along the basic highways of St. Petersburg. An evaluation of the existent infrastructure of MCGCS, which fails to provide enough fueling to transit cars with gas fuel and possesses considerable shortcomings, is presented. The authors propose using a new methodology of forming the MCGCS infrastructure and present a corresponding graphic model. On the base of mathematical analysis of the queuing systems, calculation has been carried out of the flow capacity of the MCGCS infrastructure with a view to 2025.
