Review article

The article analyzes the current situation in the field of waste treatment management in the Russian Federation, the process and consequences of transition from the decentralized to the centralized management model in this field in relation to the model impact on entrepreneurship. The advantages and disadvantages of the centralized model applied to municipal solid waste treatment are highlighted and the objectives to improve its use efficiency are determined.
