Based on the 2-block model proposed by Professor A. A. Gvozdev and colleagues, the article presents a method for calculating the bearing capacity of reinforced concrete beams with rectangular cross-sections according to inclined cross-sections taking into account the influence of longitudinal reinforcement content. Simple formulas are proposed to account for this influence on the load- bearing capacity of a reinforced concrete beam in an inclined section. The experimental results obtained by the authors show that the proposed formulas provide better accuracy and effectively take into account the influence of longitudinal reinforcement on the bearing capacity in inclined beam sections.
