Review article

Quality control system for construction and installation works (CIW) holds an important position in construction organizations, contributing to the creation of high quality construction objects. One of the proposed models of improving the quality is the EFQM excellence model. On the basis of the conducted research of the model criteria, there have been identified 39 factors that may affect the quality control system of CIW. The author has developed a preliminary model of the quality improvement, which consists of seven criteria, namely, leadership, policy and strategy, people, partnerships, resources, processes, and goals.
