This article reviews the existing normative documentsregulating information modeling in Russia and revealssome significant gaps in specification and systematization, especially in terms of information model formation fortransport infrastructure facilities. A comparative analysis ofRussian and foreign standards has been carried out, whichallows to identify a more systematic approach to informationmodeling, including detailed recommendations for lifecycle management of transport infrastructure facilities. Theresults of the study show critical problems, including the lack of comprehensive exchange information requirements (EIR), to address which the paper proposes the creation of a single standard that defines the structure, objectives and requirements for the informational modeling of bridge structures throughout their life cycle. Such a standard will be able to improve the quality and efficiency of infrastructure projects in Russia, which will ultimately lead to a better performance of bridge structures.
