Review article

The article considers the prospects of developing the automobile transportations from Ust-Luga seaport to the cities located in the European part of Russia. The authors propose using the ArcGIS geographic-information system, which allows to process and display the spatial information of the road network. Process of creation of the database and road network basic framework is described. The block of transportations of the ArcGIS-model is developed. Recommendations about development of automobile transportations are made.
