Review article

The article analyzes the existing system of driving instruction and identifies the moments of uncertainty in the process of training drivers of category B vehicles. The necessity and proposals for changing and supplementing the training program were described. The structure of the methodical program for the professional training of drivers of category B vehicles on the territory of the Russian Federation is presented. The contradictions of the methodology applied in Russia to the world experience and the inability to prepare drivers in accordance with the modern requirements are shown.
