Improving road safety of bicycle transport in St. Petersburg

Annotation: 

The paper submits the results of an analysis of road traffic accidents with cyclists in 2020. There was taken into account the date, time, cause, area, address and number of victims in accidents, with the existing cycling infrastructure of the city (the number and location of bicycle lanes) studied. An assessment of road traffic accident concentration sites and risky traffic areas for bicycle transport was carried out on the example of St. Petersburg. Conclusions are made about the need to improve the bicycle infrastructure in order to improve the safety of bicycle traffic.
