Whenever the rigidity center does not coincide with the mass center of the structure, at seismic impact, there may emerge additional oscillation forces in the structure which cause torsional oscillation. Such effects increase accelerations in angular elements of the structure [1] and, consequently, decrease the effectiveness of seismic isolation system [11], causing additional stresses in the structure. The author presents the research results of the influence that the eccentricity has on the acceleration value in angular points in the structure protected with a pendulum seismic isolation system.
