This paper examines the interaction of injection piles with clay base soils. Models (systems) of piles installed by injecting fine-grained concrete, as well as models (systems) of bases reinforced with injection piles, are developed, and their performance under loading is simulated. A methodology for numerically modeling the performance of a single injection pile and a freestanding foundation reinforced with such piles is presented using the Midas GTS software package. The calculation methodology for these systems is substantiated by comparing graphs of settlement versus applied vertical loads, which are obtained from numerical modeling and testing (loading) of full-scale single piles under static compressive loading.
