Review article

The article presents the results of the study of joint performance of building materials used in enclosing structures of former profitable hauses in the city center. Currently, some profitable houses of the city historic center are undergoing major repairs under the program «Affordable Housing for Youth». In connection with the release of a new federal law on energy conservation and increasing resistance to heat transfer of external walls by 3.5 times, the walls of former profitable houses are recommended to be insulated from the inside, in order to preserve the historical appearance of the facade. There has been made calculation of the heat transfer resistance of enclosing structures without the use and with the use of thermal insulation layer.
