The article describes the modeling technique of compressed natural gas (CNG) stations` infrastructure, taking into account the trends and forecasting of the motor vehicle park development. A mathematical model has been developed which allows optimizing the network location of new CNG filling stations in St. Petersburg, with due consideration of the locations of motor fuel consumers. The author presents the solution of nonlinear optimization problem of the CNG stations infrastructure optimization proceeding from the condition of minimizing the distance between the filling stations and potential CNG consumers.
