Annotation: 

The paper deals with the issue of modernization of the transfer gear of the four-wheel-drive car. The transfer gear equipped with a combined pump-turbine unit refers to the means of energy recovery vehicles and can additionally serve as a hydrostatic drive of manual transmission. The proposed construction of the transfer gear box of the vehicle improves its fuel economy, as well as the trailer brake and environmental properties.
