On the need to improve the reliability of vehicle braking system evaluation using roller dynamometers

Annotation: 

The article considers the factors influencing thereliability of the assessment of braking properties ofvehicles on roller dynamometers during operation. Thereis proposed a technical solution for the design of a rollerdynamometer for testing the braking properties of wheeledvehicles, which provides an increase in the reliability ofthe assessment of the technical condition of the vehicle’sbraking system. The originality of the roller dynamometerwas confirmed by the decision to grant a patent for an invention of the Russian Federation. The influence of changes in the magnitude of the instrumental error of the brake tester on the probabilities of measurement errors of the first and second kind is shown.
