Numerical modeling of the stress-strain state of building foundationsin the area of influence of underground construction

Annotation: 

Construction in dense urban areas is accompaniedby the development of additional settlement of existingbuildings. Excavation is often carried out in water-saturated soils and requires dewatering measures, whichleads to changes in the hydro-geological conditions ofthe construction site. This article presents a comparisonof the settlement calculations for the foundations ofsurrounding buildings during nearby excavation, bothwith and without consideration of dewatering. The studywas conducted using analytical solutions and numericalmodeling.
