Annotation:
The paper offers an approach for evaluating the boundary strain-stress condition of steel-concrete composite structures using the field-proven Section Algorithm. The offered approach is demonstrated on the example of calculating a composite reinforced concrete column with rigid reinforcement. The paper contains some information about the applied algorithm. An assessment is made of durability of reinforced concrete columns with rigid reinforcement using various brands of steel under loading. The authors make a conclusion in regard of the proper range of usage for this kind of composite column structures with rigid reinforcement.
