The problem of subjectivity in Russian architectural practice

Annotation: 

The article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of modern architectural practice in Russia, legally enshrined in the sectoral legislation of the Russian Federation. There has been carried out a brief comparative analysis of the differences in the legislators’ interpretation of subjectivity in architectural practice in Russia and abroad, which affect the results of the architect’s creative activity. The concepts of “urban planning” and “architectural practice” are considered. Examples of construction project implementation schemes are presented. On the basis of the analysis results, conclusions are drawn about the importance of freedom of the architect`s creative activity and the expediency of revision of the sectoral legislation.
