Review article

The paper substantiates the necessity of large-panel construction revival for solving the problem of housing endowment of the population in the Russian Federation. It has been established that from the economic point of view, the most progressive form of reproduction of fixed assets of house-building plants (HBP) is the technical modernization of their production base (with the replacement of equipment and updating of technologies, taking into account scientific and technical progress and using of existing infrastructure). This should be aimed at increasing production facilities capacity and new housing supply, labour productivity growth, and reducing labour inputs of manufacturing processes.
