The article presents the results of the analysis of the study aimed at improving the circuit design of the power systems of gas distribution stations, the use of turboexpanders, heat pumps, processes of quasi-isothermal gas flow during throttling. The data for calculating the natural gas parameters at various thermodynamic processes implemented in the above mentioned types of equipment are given. Parameters in real processes of natural gas throttling in a vortex tube with a cold consumer are determined. The prospects of using the potential energy of pressure of gas pipelines and renewable energy sources to obtain additional types of energy and commercial products are identified.
