Annotation: 

The rapid growth of domestic tourism observed inrecent years has caused an increase in the flow of visitorson the streets of city centers, which are the focus ofattraction of both local residents and tourists. It should berecognized that multifunctional streets have appeared thatcombine transport functions with the functions of publicspaces, which necessitates introduction of more detailedproposals for the design of their pedestrian infrastructure,taking into account the best domestic and foreignpractices. In this regard, additions to the current designnorms for city streets and roads in the Russian Federationare proposed.
